Training Seminars

The Global Fund Raising Advisory offers practical, participatory training to board and staff members of civil society organizations that wish to diversify and grow their funds from local and international sources: individuals, corporations, foundations, governments, and multilateral organizations. As a pioneer in fund raising and promoting philanthropy in developing and transition countries, we know the special challenges that fund raisers face in the South and East. In one or two days, we help leaders and staff become up-to-date with trends and techniques in fund raising, strengthen their fundraising strategy, and sharpen the oral and written presentations that they make to local and international individuals and institutions. We tailor-make programs that meet an organization's specific needs. We also run sessions for many groups simultaneously, and we are happy to see the sponsoring organization--typically a university or association of CSOs--generate revenue for itself in the process. See our sample seminar for more details.

The Global Fund Raising Advisory has conducted training sessions in the U.S. and in:

  • Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico Nicaragua, , Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela;
  • Africa: Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Nigeria;
  • Others: Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, Philippines.
The President of the Global Fund has conducted seminars at the international conferences of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (five times) and Civicus (twice). Contact us about a seminar.
